It was quite a good documentary, although still referring to PL-6983 as “Bremelanotide (aka PT-141)”; which is understandable since that development – Palatin switching from developing Brem to the new Pl-6983 – is fairly recent, and most of the discussion in the doc was related to the development of that drug.

The documentary itself *might* become available on other outlets (TV stations) in the future, since – as far as I know – it’s not just an episode of W5 , but a stand alone documentary that’s merely being featured there.

However I will definitely post about the show soon after it airs and do my best to make it available to you and other readers to see if at all possible. At worst, I’ll summarize what they discuss on the show and mention any websites or additional sources of information I think you might be interested in.

Thanks very much for writing and congratulations on being a BC survivor. I hope Bremelanotide / PL-6983 will return to you the quality of life you deserve.

However keep in mind that Bremelanotide is no longer officially being pursued as a treatment for sexual dysfunction… it’s being tested as an “improvement in survival and prevention of organ dysfunction in patients with traumatic injuries resulting in hemorrhagic shock”.

…but, if approved for that use, then I *think* there’s precedent for a doctor to prescribe it for other uses as well (hint hint). Not sure about that belief, but it’s something I’ve read elsewhere that makes sense to me.

But if you’re commenting on the lack of new news about those two, then we’ll have to remain patient as they are just entering phase 1 trials, which always seems to require a long “ramp up” period.

Once they start those clinical trials I’ll definitely post about it here.
